2011 -- A new year with more books.

Have discovered the Rotary book sale -- a huge bag of books for $30. Needless to say, I bought a whole bag. Currently reading Penny Vincenzi -- everything she writes is terrific. Love those British historical family sagas. What are you reading?

So far:

Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver. Makes me want to plant tomatoes right now (yes, in the dead of winter, ha!)

The Road to Jerusalem: Book One of the Crusades Trilogy by Jan Guillou. A whole lot of telling but a damn good story. This was a Christmas present. Think I'm going to have to hint that my birthday is coming up and will next the next in the series.

Make the Bread, Buy the Butter by Jennifer Reese. I can't wait to try some of these recipes. Check out her blog on tipsybaker.com. Hmm, two food books. Do I detect a theme for the year? We'll see.
